The girls were invited over to a friends house for a sleepover this evening and my sweet husband wanted to take the boys and I out for dinner. We had a coupon for Logans so that was where we decided to go being that it has been a very l-o-n-g time since we have been to a steakhouse. Not to mention you don't have to tell me twice if you wanna take me out for dinner!!
Now, I must mention we have never taken our kids to Logans so they were not expecting to walk into a "dirty" restaurant. Now if you have never been there before, it's one of those places where ya grab a handful of peanuts and throw the shells on the floor kinda dirty, not nasty or anything like that. Anywhoo......
As we walk in the entrance (seeing peanut shells everywhere and I did not think to tell the boys about the peanut thing) this is what I or should I say everyone in the entrance heard from Little Man, OH MYYY GOSSHHH, THIS PLACE IS DIRTY!!! Trying my hardest not to die of laughter and even a little embarrassed it didn't help seeing Mark and the hostess snickering as she showed us to our table.
Once we were seated Mark explained to the boys why there were peanut shells everywhere and that this was the ONLY place you were allowed to throw stuff on the floor, to which we then hear that is so cool! Well... being that he is only 7 and he is a boy and he does not always hear correctly which we all know IS a boy thing, before we know it he grabs a handful of peanuts and starts chunking them!!!! LOL Seriously!! Thankfully he did not hit anyone and only 2 or 3 got loose before we stopped him.
Puzzled he looks at me and says, "What, Dad said that's what the peanuts are for." Such a boy! Mark and I both lost it and could not stop laughing. Once Little Man understood he had to shell them first he then did it correctly. At first I thought he was just being ridiculous by throwing them but later I did then realize he really thought you just threw peanuts all over the place.
Anyway this may not sound as funny as it really was, but I thought it was definitely blog worthy! :)
