Watch Out For Flying Peanuts!

The girls were invited over to a friends house for a sleepover this evening and my sweet husband wanted to take the boys and I out for dinner. We had a coupon for Logans so that was where we decided to go being that it has been a very l-o-n-g time since we have been to a steakhouse. Not to mention you don't have to tell me twice if you wanna take me out for dinner!!

Now, I must mention we have never taken our kids to Logans so they were not expecting to walk into a "dirty" restaurant. Now if you have never been there before, it's one of those places where ya grab a handful of peanuts and throw the shells on the floor kinda dirty, not nasty or anything like that. Anywhoo......

As we walk in the entrance (seeing peanut shells everywhere and I did not think to tell the boys about the peanut thing) this is what I or should I say everyone in the entrance heard from Little Man, OH MYYY GOSSHHH, THIS PLACE IS DIRTY!!! Trying my hardest not to die of laughter and even a little embarrassed it didn't help seeing Mark and the hostess snickering as she showed us to our table.
Once we were seated Mark explained to the boys why there were peanut shells everywhere and that this was the ONLY place you were allowed to throw stuff on the floor, to which we then hear that is so cool! Well... being that he is only 7 and he is a boy and he does not always hear correctly which we all know IS a boy thing, before we know it he grabs a handful of peanuts and starts chunking them!!!! LOL Seriously!! Thankfully he did not hit anyone and only 2 or 3 got loose before we stopped him.
Puzzled he looks at me and says, "What, Dad said that's what the peanuts are for." Such a boy! Mark and I both lost it and could not stop laughing. Once Little Man understood he had to shell them first he then did it correctly. At first I thought he was just being ridiculous by throwing them but later I did then realize he really thought you just threw peanuts all over the place.

Anyway this may not sound as funny as it really was, but I thought it was definitely blog worthy! :)

Here I Go, Once Again...

As some of you know, I went on yet another weight loss kick back in January in preparation of our Disney vacation. Well, I lost a whopping 15 pds (don't laugh, that's pretty good for me :)) but fell off the wagon once we got back.

Well, after seeing some pics from this past weekend, and noticing my shorts are starting to feel just a bit snug, I have decided to go back to my life of all water, protein bars and measuring my food. Doesn't that sound like fun? Oh yeah, and I can't forget the daily work outs and power walks. Now that I enjoy!

So.... if you are in need a walking buddy, give me a holla!

Not Just Another Early Morning

So I once again woke up bright eyed and bushy tailed at 4 a.m. this morning. Yes I know, that's nuts but that has been my morning schedule the last few days and I'm not quite sure why. Normally I would just lay in bed, pray, think, toss and turn. But after spending some time in prayer and still wide awake, not to mention I could hear a very restless Gunner in his crate, I reluctantly decided to just get up and start my day much much earlier.

So, I went and checked on the kiddos (I LOVE to watch them sleep so soundly) and closed their doors just so not to wake them. As I walked back into the kitchen in comes my sweet hubby. (He could not sleep either)

He too decided just to get up and make us some coffee, which by the way we are loving our or should I say his Keureg coffee maker he got for Fathers Day.
As we both sat at the table with all as quiet as could be, we talked and laughed and had a wonderful quiet time just he and I on a very early Saturday morning. As we sat and chatted, I thought, this is just as nice as being on a date!! No interruptions, just time together and without the after dinner bill!!
So now I'm thinking we may need to have more early morning "dates" more often! :)

Prayer Request

As many of you might know, my father in law had a heart attack last Wednesday. He has since been in the hospital and has more problems adding to the situation.

Please keep him in prayer as he was in acute renial failure and hopefully later on today will be having a procedure on his kidneys. We are trusting this will help the function of his kidneys so that the next task at hand, a heart catheter can than be put in to better see what is going on there.
We are so grateful that he has a WONDERFUL team of Dr.'s and nurses taking such great care of him.

Also please be in prayer for my mother in law as she is still battling an eye infection that set in last week.

Thank you for all the prayers and concerns you have shown already, the family is so appreciative.
I will update as needed.

Thanks everyone,
