Garage sales are alot of work!

Well, we actually did it! My sister and I have been contemplating on having a garage sale at my house for a long time but one of us always had an excuse not to. So we then decided let's just do it, and so we did. In all actuality it was more my sisters. She has the most adorable quads and had TONS of baby stuff. As for me well, I really had nothing b/c I had already given all my garage sale items away or donated it to the CPC here in town. But it was a successful sale. I think the best part was that we did not have anyone walk off with stuff w/o paying like my last sale, so not cool, but then again we also had our eyes peeled looking for those people. Now, we did have one very interesting lady drive up with a truck load FULL, FULL, FULL of stuff, baby cribs galore, kids bikes for all ages, toys and tons more. My first thought was, COOL, we will do well with her here but where will she put it all?

WELL, let me tell you, SHE was the one who did well. On all the items she wanted she wouldn't ask us to go down or would we take so and so for it (mind you we had super deals) she TOLD US what she was going to pay. I have admit this did not go over well with me at all, but it was my sisters stuff and being the non greedy person she is she ok'd this ladies offers. On some of the stuff I told her no and so she would put it down. Example, seriously, 10 perfectly good onsies w/o stains for $1.00 and she said "no $.75" me: "NO, it's $1.00." and she would repeat. I'm thinking, HELLO, whose garage sale is this? No wonder her truck was overflowing with all sorts of loot!! She did not take no for an answer. Anyway, like I said, my sweet sister said it was ok and so this lady then really went to town and I must say she did spend alot of money but it was like she was going to rule, well she did not only rule, she conquered!!! I wish I had a pic of her truck after hitting our sale.

We did have fun though ,so it was all worth it. In the end I made $57.25 and my sis made over 4x that!!! Guess that's what happens when your not thinking $$$$$$. The amount she made is the most made in our garage sale history! Guess I will have to remember to eat some humble pie before I open next time!
Have a great weekend yall!
