Friday our family ate out at a really great Mexican restaurant. I was in the mood for greasy Mexican food. I know it sounds gross, but it was some really good chow.Hhmm, and I wonder why I can not lose any weight, DUH!
On Saturday we went to see Wall-e with Aunt Joy, Uncle Joey & Grandma. Really cute movie and again, lots o' fun.
But I would have to say the highlight for me was, afterwards as we were leaving the theatre, my hubby out of the blue was m.i.a. and when I turned around I saw him standing and talking to a 7 some foot guy. Before I knew it I then realized he was talking to DAVID ROBINSON!!! You know,The David Robinson from the San Antonio Spurs! I mean HELLO!! Boy I boogied myself over to him and shook his hand and got to meet him before my hubby left him. He was all smiles and not even bothered by more fans at his side while trying to pick out which flavor gelato he was going to get. Very sweet and and happy to visit with us. Now, I have to say I know he is only human but I have always thought him to be such a wonderful role model for kids and adults today and he IS a Christian at that! The first Bible he ever autographed was for my hubby back in his (Davids) rookie yr. pretty cool huh?! We only visited for a short time as we did not want to keep him longer than what we had since there were other people starting to take notice he was there and started taking pics. Poor guy, I hope he made it to his movie on time with his gelato in hand.:(
The ONLY thing I regret is I did not have my camera UGH!HUGE bummer, but we may have to hang out at the Palladium more often!! Anyway, as we left I was on cloud 12. You would have thought I was a little kid meeting Santa Clause for the first time. I am such a dork I even called my bro and dad to share in the very exciting news to then only find out my bro also has had the privilege of meeting him.:) Now if I could only meet Jesus and Casting Crowns!!
After all the excitement we picked up some lunch then all us girlies went SHOPPING!!! As usual, Aunt Joy and Uncle Joey were very generous and took us to Justice for girls where the girlies went bonkers! And grandma even let each of the them pick out a little bracelet. I can say that day we all shopped until we dropped, literally! SUPER FUN DAY!! :)
Then, of course we went to church on Sunday and my parents invited the girlies for lunch so we headed to get Chinese with the boys. After a nice and much needed nap daddy suggested we end our fun filled weekend with a family outing to Sea World. It was so perfect too. It was not too hot nor too crowded and it was just a fun time together as a family. I felt as if it were a nice mini vacation even though it was here locally.
Last night as I was tucking the girls in bed they were saying how we need to do this again next week. But as I told them, We will only do it every once in a while just so it will continue to be a very special time for us to look forward to!

Oh what P's and G's you had!! I just really love those special kind of weekends and meeting David to boot. -(We are on a first name basis, cause I saw the side of his head once in the mall as he was going down the escalator. You know how it is hobnobbing with those celebs ;)- We saw Wall-E too on Saturday. I loved that movie. It was so sweet and you know me I really like the Sci-Fi stuff. Though that weekend was fun I'm sure this coming weekend will be even better *wink, wink*
