HE'S A BIG KID NOW!!!

I am so excited to blog about Little Man, I do not even know where to start. I guess I should let all of you know who were not aware, we have been doing the potty traing thing for a l-o-n-g time now and he sometimes refused to even step foot in the bathroom, but that was quicky fixed!
Well, today was a new day and I guess he decided he was going to show us he's a big kid now and went potty 5 times, 2 poopies and 3 weewees to be exact!! Sorry, if thats to much information but its just one of those things a mom has to share. I'm sure if you have been in my shoes you understand and if not, you will when you get to that bridge! Anyway, I also have to add that he went on his own two of those times w/o being told. Pretty cool if I may say so myself! :)

We had just got home from picking up the girls from school, I opened the door and he shot into the bathroom. I went in to see what was going on and when I asked him what was wrong he said "nothing mommy, I just have to go potty" all the while pulling his pants down. I was in such shock, I screamed "are you serious?" "yes mom" he said. Like, duh whats the big deal? I was so excited, but you had to have been there, it was truly hilarious!! That was poopie #1 :)
So after all was said done the girls and I danced, sang, passed hi-fives and all that jazz with him.
The funny thing is he was more excited about getting 3 Skittles than he was of doin' his thang! After snack I sent the indians outside to play while it is still warm (good ' ol Texas weather) and after a while in runs Little Man once again. Yep, thats when he went on his own for the second time, and yep again, that would be poopie #2, and you have to know he has done very well all evening! We are so proud of him but I must say, IT IS ABOUT TIME!
I am one proud Mommy right now. I just hope we are finally on the stretch to wearing big boy undies!
THREE DOWN, ONE MORE TO GO!

Hey Jennifer, It is great to keep up w/ you & your family. We are a "big kid" now too. I've been trying on & off w/ Ellie since the summer. She was never interested & almost scared. But I tried again in Nov. (a few weeks b4 her 3rd b-day) and she just caught on and w/in 3 days we were fully trained. Yeah!! But bittersweet b/c my "baby" isn't a baby anymore. The boys are doing great. They enjoyed f-ball this year. I'll keep checking in w/ your blog. IT is nice. Mel

Yea, I forgot about how exciting getting them to go potty was! This is making me anticipate Londyn and potty training. I don't think it will be as easy as it was with Alexis. We missed you today! We had a great turn out, 6 ladies and 10 kids. It was too kind of you to bring the cookies and spinkles. The kids had so much fun decorating the cookies and the best part was the gift exchange. I'm sure Christine and I will be blogging about it with pics, so you can feel like you were there.

I am so proud of Mark Andrew and of Mommy for sticking with it! Our kids are growing so fast. We did have fun today but missed you. I appreciate you bringing the cookies. They were a big hit, thanks. Hope the cookie making was fun for you today. Hey bye the way this is Christine! I was fixing your header and forgot I was signed in as you so I changed it to anonymous. Hope you like it my friend :)
