I'm So Thankful for My Best Friend

Now, before I begin I have to say my Hubby and family are THE best thing that ever happened to me but also so is my best friend, Mama C.
Here is a little bit if background of how we met and became the bestest of friends, I will try to keep it short and sweet.

We both worked at the same school for a while. I had been there for about two years as an assistant and for the afterschool care program. Well, one day as I am cleaning up the room ready to go home I see this very bubbly, obnoxious, long and I mean long haired loud young girl outsidde working the afterschool care. I thought "who is she and who does she think she is trying to be all cool flinging her long hair around???" Yes, I guess I was a bit jelly that she was (and still is) a cutie patootie. Well as weeks went by little did I know what the Lord had in store for me. I ended up working with her and I thought "oh boy, here we go." After I was introduced to her, her first question I believe was, " So, do you have a boyfriend?" I'm thinking,"Excuse me, I just met you and you are already all up in my personal life???" Well, to make a very LONG story short she grew on me and we became good friends. As time passed, we cried, laugh, and encourage each other when needed (more so she encourages me and still does), we were even pregnant at the same time who would have ever thunk that would happen! Funny thing is before we got prego she even stated how cool it would be if we both had a baby at the same time. Sure enough I had mine and then a week later she had hers!!! And though we've had some bumpy times together, as time passed we have truly grown to be BFF over the years.
And why am I posting this you may ask? Well, today was just a regular day and we met up and our kids played ,we had lunch together and ran around and did "light" shopping at out favorite store TARGET and hit a few other spots, laughing, joking and just being crazy. Once we went our seperate ways, I got to thinking of really just how special this once loud and crazy young girl is one of many people that I am so blessed to have in my life. I will be forever grateful to the Lord for bringing us together, so many years ago, well okay not that many.

So here is to Mama C, I love you and thank you for all that you do for me. I too had alot of fun on our girlie day out even with kids in tow!!

Okay, I'm crying now. You have no idea how much this means to me and how much I needed a boost. Truth be told I have been a little down lately but haven't told a soul. I had a blast today, as well, and I'm so grateful to the Lord for bringing you into my life. One memory that will stand out in my mind forever is when you helped me with my wedding dress and were amazingly wonderful to me on my wedding day! Your hubby even went and bought me grippers for my shoes so I wouldn't fall walking the to meet my John. Thanks for this post and for your friendship always. Your BFF :)

Hi Jennifer,
My name is Katy and it's nice to meet you! I really like your page, and your blog today made me think of how much I love Mama C. She is such a wonderful sister and friend. I to remember her long hair and how to flipped it all the time!! When I met her it was gosh about 10 or 12 years ago (I really don't want to think that hard about how old I am) we met at church, and she was my sister's friend. Immediatley she made me feel like I could tell her anything, and that she would be there me for always. Then she married my brother a few years later. Wow I am sorry once I start talking (typing) it's hard to stop.

Thank you for commenting on my page, I am so excited to have you has a blogger friend! Oh it's is so okay to add me to your page, and I added you to mine.
