A Promise

Today Freckles and I stayed home from church since we are both still not feeling real good (I almost no longer have voice). So I decided to do a little summer "de-cluttering" (which I did not get too far with) and came across this email my brother sent me a while back and just wanted to share it with you guys.

A Promise...

You are my friend and I hope you know that's true.
No matter what happens I will stand by you.
I'll be there whenever you need.
To lend you a hand to do a good deed.
So just call on me when you need me my friend.
I will always be there to the end.
Just remember:

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer
and petition, present your requests to God; and the peace of
God which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts
and minds in Christ Jesus."

-Phillipians 4:6-7

How this hit me like a ton of bricks as I have been really struggling with some things going on around me. It just brought me to tears b/c I really needed to hear this at this time. And though this is one of my most favorite scriptures, I was reminded of how qiuck I "forget" his promises and dwell in the present situations I am facing, but yet he is still there for ME, WHENEVER I NEED HIM. I also think it is SO awsome how God will bring along a friend, a sermon, a song or even an old email to shed light on a present situation to let you know He is right there. Man, what an AWSOME God we serve!
O.k now the tears are really flowin'!

I hope that you too, will be encouraged if you might be facing any "giants" in your life today.

It truly is a comfort knowing our Heavenly Father is there with His arms opened wide to receive us always. I pray that in everyone of these situations that you are finding yourself in that you keep your eyes fixed upon Him and I know that all will be done according to HIS will and plan. I love you chica! :D

That's a really good scripture. And a good reminder to us.
